The sixth annual La Campaigne du Château 2026 was an event hosted by the Company of the Lynx Argent that took place from 18 - 22 March 2026 at Red Rock Canyon Campground and Adventure Park in Hinton, Oklahoma. It was billed as "a weekend immersed in the martial & material culture of the latter half of the Hundred Years' War." Events of the weekend include unarmored duels to group skirmishes, to deeds of arms fought in head-to-toe armor, to feasting and hiking and singing and dancing.

Participants formed a fictitious military camp of the French and English which included period food and clothing and a grand feast Saturday night.

Joust a'Plaisance

This year a jousting demonstration was offered in the form of a Joust a'Plaisance, or "joust of peace", which is the form of jousting most recognized by modern audiences. The two competitors, Lonnie Colson and Aaron Homjak, each made three passes against one another in front of a crowd of campground spectators. Afterwards, Lonnie demonstrated how a mounted knight could charge a man-at-arms on foot with a lance.

Armoured Jousting
It has been a childhood dream of mine to compete in a historical jousting tournament. I was finally given the opportunity to break my first lance at Lysts on the Lake 2019.

Mounted Skills at Arms
Hunting was considered better training for war than jousting. The skill-at-arms competition is a way to demonstrate those abilities.
